The 2023 Château Lucia is beautiful and certainly makes the most of the vintage. Ripe red and blue fruits, flowers, spicy oak, and a kiss of minerality all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied, with a supple, elegant mouthfeel and beautiful tannins. I was able to taste this on multiple occasions, and I always thought it would be an outstanding wine. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, aging in 40% new oak. (05/2024)
