"... dichte, fleischige Nase, schwarzbeerige Frucht, auch Kirschen, etwas primärfruchtig, etwas easy, frische aber auch vollreif+-Töne, kräftige Säure, etwas süßsauer, mittlerer Körper, am Gaumen und im Finale klar und sauber, kräftige Tannine“ (04/2024)

The 2023 Labégorce has a well-defined nose that leans slightly more toward red than black fruit. It's understated at first but soon coheres and gains intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with very pliant tannins. Satin-like in texture and very cohesive, with a touch of spice on the finish, this is a classy Margaux that will give a great deal of pleasure over the next 15 to 20 years. Warning through: it will be difficult to resist in its youth.

Notes of ripe and mellow dark berries here with a hint of orange peel. It’s medium-bodied, supple and polished. (04/2024)

Based on close to an even split of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the 2023 Château Labégorce has a spicy, medium-bodied, supple, complex profile that's almost already hard to resist. Ripe red and black fruits, loamy earth, and savory herb notes define the aromatics, and it has nicely integrated background oak, good mid-palate density, and outstanding length. Tasted twice with consistent notes. (05/2024)

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 Labegorce gives up notes of wild strawberries, red plums, and Bing cherries plus touches of wild thyme and pencil shavings. The medium-bodied palate is delicate and refreshing, with subtle savory flavors and lightly grippy tannins, finishing with lingering notes of fragrant herbs. The blend is 47% Cabernet Sauvignon. 45% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and 3% Cabernet Franc. (04/2024)
