"This charismatic premium Tawny is distinguished from its stablemates by uncommon vigour and finesse. Consummately controlled, the driving acidity and spirit buoy and prolong the sweet, savoury, spicy and salty flavours: fruitcake, molasses, chicory, coffee, walnut, spicy black cardamom, fennel and salty black liquorice. Concentrated, with terrific structure, balance and length, it beguiles and impresses in equal measure. Drawn from vintages spanning over a century, with an average age of 50 years.
