A little broody and subdued to start, it unfurls to reveal notes of plums preserves, Morello cherries, and boysenberries plus touches of wild sage, damp soil, and iron ore. The medium to full-bodied palate has a refreshing backbone and soft, supple tannins to frame the muscular black fruits, finishing on a lingering earthy note. The blend is 57% Merlot and 43% Cabernet Franc. (04/2024)
