The 2023 Riesling Kabinott is harvested on white and red gravels, i.e., calcareous and iron-rich gravels of Danubian and Tertiary origin, respectively. The vines are a massal selection from the Nahe. Gorgeous savor unites citrus peel and herbal savoriness, almost of herb on sun-warmed stone, with great subtlety. More air brings clementine juiciness. The palate is beautifully strait-laced, linear, wonderfully stony and has a lovely phenolic veil. Deep citrus savor makes it hard to believe this went through full malolactic conversion. The 2023 is totally lip-smacking with a gorgeous, pithy, smooth texture, totally streamlined. (Bone-dry)
