2023 Fleur Cardinale Blanc

Juicy and vivid white citrus character and mineral crunchiness. Medium-bodied with bright acidity. Tense, and lightly phenolic in the end. Good tension and length. (05/2024)

As to the Grand Vin, the 2023 Château Fleur Cardinale Blanc is based on 57% Sauvignon Blanc and 43% Sauvignon Gris that hit 12.8% alcohol and a pH of 3.1. Vinified mostly in wood (a small part was in stainless steel), it has more pure citrus, honeyed grapefruit, chalky mineral, and minty notes in a more medium-bodied, fresh, focused, vibrant style. It's beautifully textured, has bright acidity, and outstanding length. (05/2024)

The 2023 Fleur Cardinale Blanc skips out with lively notes of lime leaves and freshly squeezed lemons plus wafts of green apples and chalk dust. The light-bodied palate is crisp and citrusy, with a well-sustained steely finish. The blend is 57% Sauvignon Blanc and 43% Sauvignon Gris. (05/2024)
