The 2023 Rol Valentin is bright, fresh and effusive. Soaring floral notes and bright acids meld into a core of blue/purplish fruit. Medium in body and finely cut, the 2023 delivers the goods. Vibrant saline note extend the finish. Rol Valentin is a blend of parcels in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse and Saint-Émilion proper, specifically in the Corbin sector. This is a fine vintage for Rol Valentin. Tasted three times.

Medium-bodied, structured and concentrated, it’s rich and extracted with a tannic frame and a dense, powerful finish. This blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec will be matured for 16 months using a mix of primarily used barrels, 30% new oak, 5% foudres of 12 hectoliters each and 5% in amphorae.
