2023 Château Petit Gravet Aine

The 2023 Petit Gravet Aîné is a stunner. Inky, silky and exceptionally polished, the 2023 dazzles from start to finish. Raspberry jam, blood orange, spice, mint and violet caress the palate. More than anything else, I am so impressed with the wine's soft texture and refined personality.

Ripe blue fruits, spring flowers, graphite, and a kiss of minerality all emerge from the 2023 Château Petit Gravet Aîné, a medium-bodied, incredibly elegant Saint-Emilion coming from sandier soils near Canon-La- Gaffelière. The purity of fruit, as well as the overall balance, are impressive. I think the cellar will be your friend on this one. (05/2024)

A blend of 90% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot, the 2023 Petit Gravet Aine has a deep garnet-purple color. It springs from the glass with fragrant notes of kirsch, redcurrant preserves, and red roses, leading to hints of lavender, pencil shavings, and menthol. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers energetic red berry and floral flavors, with a firm, grainy texture and great tension, finishing long and minerally. Beautiful! (05/2024)
