The 2023 Lespault-Martillac Blanc is a powerful, resonant white. Dried lemon peel, chamomile, white flowers, pear and tangerine zest add a light exotic touch to play off the wine's creaminess. A touch of new oak lingers. Tasted three times.

Honeyed orange blossom, pineapple, and minty, floral notes all emerge on the nose, and it's medium-bodied, with beautifully integrated oak, good acidity, and outstanding length. Based on 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon, aging in one-third new barrels, it’s well worth your time and money. (05/2024)

As usual, the Lespault-Martillac 2023 Blanc shows an oaky, spicy character with aromas of lemon, lemongrass, herbs and lime tree leaves. Moderately weighted and round, it’s fleshy and charming on the mid-palate with bright acids and a long, ethereal finish. This blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon is a great effort.
