The 2023 Croix-Mouton has a clean and precise nose with blackberry and light sous-bois scents, a touch of pencil box emerging with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a bell-pepper-tinged opening. Crunchy in texture, perhaps there was a bit of fruit here that did not quite reach phenolic ripeness, so the finish feels a bit short.
