2022 "Santenots" Meursault 1er Cru

The 2022 Meursault Santenots 1er Cru had quite a lot of reduction on the nose when I tasted it, so the aromatics are challenging to read. The palate is medium-bodied with modest depth, attractive orange rind and quince notes. Perhaps, like the Bourgogne Chardonnay, I am seeking a little more nervosité on the finish. As such, I would broach this after a couple of years.

The 2022 Meursault 1er Cru Santenots reveals a gently reductive bouquet of pear, white flowers, toasted nuts and freshly baked bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless palate that's impressively bright and mineral for such a sunny terroir in so warm a vintage.
