Deeply complex, the 2022 Rosso di Montalcino Iacopo wafts up with a cascade of rose petals, incense, cinnamon sticks, spiced citrus rinds and dried black cherries. This is silken in texture with depths of dark red berry fruits that saturate, underscored by saline minerals and spice, all guided by a core of brilliant acidity. The 2022 finishes with tremendous length and a crunchy feel, leaving gripping tannins that tug at the palate. This truly deserves the title of Baby Brunello. What an absolutely stunning wine. The Iacopo is produced from one declassified barrel of Brunello fruit.
