2022 Patterson Chardonnay

The 2022 Chardonnay Patterson offers an intriguing mix of high-elevation briskness with an exciting interplay of minerality and tropical leanings. White pepper, chalk, mint, citrus peel and slate all race across the palate. This taut, saline Chardonnay has quite a bit to offer. A touch of attractive reduction lingers.

From a north-facing site in eastern Sta. Rita Hills, the 2022 Chardonnay Patterson Vineyard exudes breezy, lifted aromas underpinned by deep, honeyed power and mossy, petrichor-like aromas. The palate is spongy and richly textured while retaining a spine of bright, balancing acidity, albeit to a less compelling degree than other Chardonnays in the roster.
