The 2022 Les Champs Libres is one of the most promising young whites of the vintage. Lime, white pepper, mint, crushed rocks and bright saline notes are all beautifully sculpted in the glass. The 2022 comes across as quite airy and understated in this vintage.

A complex and soulful white with sliced apple and pear. Lime, too. Medium- to full-bodied, solid and layered. White pepper and chalk. 100% sauvignon blanc. (2023)

All Sauvignon Blanc, the 2022 Les Champs Libres Blanc is straight-up brilliant, and I'd easily put this in the top handful of whites in the vintage (and I'd say that for many vintages today as well). Honeyed flowers, minty herbs, crushed stone, and citrus all define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied, wth a beautifully layered, seamless mouthfeel, high acidity, and a distinct salinity on the finish that keeps you coming back to the glass. This is a masterclass in world class Sauvignon Blanc that readers shouldn't miss if given the chance. (05/2023)

Les Champs Libres 2022 is 100% Sauvignon Blanc. It features fragrant notes of gooseberries, lime leaves, and lemongrass, plus touches of sea spray, jasmine, and wild thyme. The light to medium-bodied palate is so light on its feet, with a refreshing backbone and zesty layers, finishing long and minerally. (05/2023)

Made of 100% Sauvignon Blanc, the Les Champs Libres 2022 Blanc reveals aromas of verbena, lemon oil, kumquat, jasmine, spring flowers and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and incisive, it’s built around bright, racy acids and has an ultra-refined texture along with a resonant, perfumed finish. This gorgeous Les Champs Libres represents the essence of what can be produced with grapes coming from a great limestone terroir that also benefit from the impressive expertise of the Guinaudeau family.
