The 2022 Grauer Burgunder was harvested in Schweigen and Rechtenbach and has three to four days of skin contact to result in a coppery pink color in the Italian ramato fashion and more flavor. The nose is shy, but the palate is beautifully taut, benefitting immensely from its tender phenolics, lending structure and backbone to what could easily become a fatter wine. The 2022 shows lovely poise, subtle phenolics and a dry finish with a pithy, fresh echo. (Bone-dry)
