"... ganz saubere, klare, rotbeerige bis dunkle Frucht, ganz clean, feine Brotkruste, schlankere Mitte, leicht süss-saurer Touch, aber insgesamt sehr schön." (2023)

The 2022 Domaine de Cambes is every bit as alluring from bottle as it was from barrel. Rich, ample and expansive, with superb resonance, Domaine de Cambes is showy yet also wonderfully complex. Dark cherry, plum, blood orange, spice and menthol infuse the palate with striking depth. The 2022 is very clearly a wine of substance, but it also has good freshness.

The 2022 Domaine De Cambes is stunning stuff, exhibiting a deep ruby/purple hue as well as killer notes of blackcurrants, graphite, crushed stone, and smoky oak. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, with serious depth and elegance, it has the depth and the structure to age beautifully 20+ years. (02/2025)

The 2022 de Cambes, 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of blueberry pie, wilted roses, and chocolate-covered cherries give way to a background of charcuterie and mossy tree bark. Full-bodied, rich, and concentrated, the palate has a chewy texture and decadently spicy finish. (05/2023)

Offering up aromas of dark berries, berries, espresso roast and toasty oak, the 2022 Domaine de Cambes is medium to full-bodied, layered, fleshy and concentrated, with a sweet core of fruit and a saline finish. It's produced from vines growing on deep, cool clays on the foggy bank of the Gironde and is always more giving than the firmer, more structured Roc de Cambes from higher-altitude clay-limestone soils.
