The 2022 Sénéjac, which has had the guidance of Jean-Michel Laporte (Château Talbot) in recent years, was picked September 12-29 and aged in 30% new oak. It has a perfumed bouquet with red berry fruit, cedar and blood orange scents. More graphite notes emerge with time and impart a Pauillac-like flair. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins and a silver bead of acidity. The oak feels polished, but not overbearing, thereby allowing the finish to really shine. This is a wonderful Haut-Médoc, one of the best wines that I have tasted from the estate.

Very attractive, crunchy dark fruit with medium to full body and spiced, chocolatey character. Firm and structured with velvety tannins and a lingering finish. Plenty of currant and hazelnut character. (04/2023)

The 2022 Senejac is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of blackberry compote, warm cassis, and Morello cherries jump form the glass with nuances of violets and dried sage. The medium-bodied palate is tightly wound and expressive, featuring fine-grained tannins and bright acidity, finishing with a provocative lift. (05/2023)

The 2022 Sénéjac is one of the best wines that this northern Médoc cru Bourgeois has produced in the last decade or two. Offering up aromas of cherries, dark berries, peonies and pencil shavings, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and succulent, with a rich core of fruit, supple tannins and a persistent finish. - William Kelley (04/2023)
