The 2022 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc is brisk and finely cut, with lovely aromatics and fine balance. Varietal Sauvignon Blanc notes drive the 2022. Pear, sage, mint, white flowers and crushed rocks are all beautifully delineated. A kiss of oak frames the finish.

The wood toast is slightly prominent now, but it should integrate well in the next year or two. Sour cream, wet-stone minerality, limes, green gooseberries and sliced green apples. This is really textured and tense, with a full body and a lengthy finish that lingers for almost a minute. Drink from 2026. (01/2025)

Up with the crème de la crème, the 2022 Château Malartic-Lagravière Blanc is based on 76% Sauvignon Blanc and 24% Sémillon, all of which is still aging in 50% new French oak. It has an incredible bouquet of honeyed citrus, grapefruit, and flowers to go with medium to full-bodied richness and depth on the palate. It’s concentrated, has a great texture, nicely integrated acidity, and a brilliant finish. Yields here were a miniscule 18 hectoliters per hectare, and the Grand Vin is a selection of only 44% of the total production. (05/2023)

The 2022 Malartic Lagraviere Blanc needs a little swirling to unlock notes of Golden Delicious apples, white peaches, and fresh straw, leading to hints of coriander seed and white pepper. The medium-bodied palate coats the mouth with expressive apple and pear flavors, framed by seamless freshness, finishing long and spicy. (05/2023)

Lemon oil, white nectarine and macadamia nut notes give this a weighty, slightly waxy feel, while verbena and salted butter add length and cut to the finish. Nicely done. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. - James Molesworth (02/2025)

A strong effort, the 2022 Malartic Lagravière Blanc reveals aromas of Anjou pear, spring flowers, verbena, linden and mint, followed by a medium to full-bodied palate with good depth and flesh. Fresh and racy, this will offer a broad drinking window.
