2022 Château Les Hauts-Conseillants

The 2022 Les Hauts-Conseillants comes from more gravelly soils and offers a lovely bouquet for a Lalande-de-Pomerol this vintage. It is quite pure with finely delineated touches of black plum, pencil shaving and brown spice. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins, though overall, it is more elegant in style with a composed finish. This is certainly a superior 2022 from the appellation.

A lifted and fresh Lalande-de-Pomerol, the 2022 Château Les Hauts Conseillants shows red and black fruits, flowers, and chalky minerality. Medium-bodied, focused, and beautifully balanced, it has fine tannins and a vibrant profile. Aged in oak barrels, this should drink well for 12-15 years. (02/2025)

The 2022 Les Hauts-Conseillants has a deep garnet-purple color. It comes bounding out with exuberant scents of blueberry pie, plum preserves, and fallen leaves, leading to wafts of sauteed herbs and cumin seed.
