There is an exuberance to this that shows the warmth of the vintage, but skilfully handled and fruit forward. A joyful wine, with slices of white pear and peach flesh, set against crisper green apple and sage spice, good depth of flavour. Harvest 23 to 25 August, yields around 30% lower than usual. The 2022 Grand Village Blanc has a charming bouquet with touches of peach skin and wet wool. It's a little Chenin-like in style. The palate is well balanced with crisp citrus peel, nectarine, white pepper, walnut oil and white peach notes. This lingers wonderfully in the mouth.
