A nicely rich and powerful St.-Julien that shows notes of red pepper, graphite, ink and ripe currants. Full-bodied and chewy with piles of fine-grained, gritty tannins speaking for the bold structure. Long and tightly coiled. This should soften more in the next two to three years. Drink from 2026. There are slight notes of reduction to start before it charges out with vivacious notions of black raspberries, blackcurrant cordial, and stewed plums with hints of wild fungi, damp soil, and crushed rocks.
