The 2022 d'Aiguilhe is plump, juicy and super-expressive. At the same time, it has plenty of energy and the underlying structure to support a number of years in the cellar. Bright chalky notes extend the finish.

A firm and tight red with blackberries, crushed stones, ink and iodine. Medium-bodied with medium tannins that are polished and very pretty. Refined and delicious. Always an excellent value. Drinkable now, but will age nicely. (01/2025)

The 2022 Château D'Aiguilhe brings more of everything, with a gorgeous nose of black raspberries, crushed stone, spring flowers, and violets that opens up beautifully with air. This carries to a medium to full-bodied effort delivering ripe, polished tannins, a seamless mouthfeel, and a great, great finish. (02/2025)

The 2022 d'Aiguilhe is composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, aging in 30% new oak. It has a pH of 3.4 and yields were 35 hl/ha. Deep garnet-purple in color, it comes bounding out of the glass with eager to please scents of black cherries, warm blackberries, and raspberry coulis, followed by hints of licorice, crushed rocks and iron ore. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers amazing tension with nice ripe rounded tannins to support the generous fruit, finishing long and chalky. (05/2023)

Fresh and tightly focused, with a racy beam of red and black cherry fruit laced with violet and rose petal accents on the finish. Merlot and Cabernet Franc. - James Molesworth (03/2025)
