The 2022 Beauregard is gorgeous. Dark, ample and seductive, the 2022 is bursting with dark red-toned fruit, spice, leather and dried herbs. There’s tremendous depth and textural resonance, elements that blossom with a bit of time in the glass. In 2022, the blend is 67% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Franc and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, the first time Cabernet Sauvignon has been in this blend. Notable.

Very linear and fine-tannined with a salty and white pepper character. Racy and chewy tannins but not overdone. Really spicy. Tight and focused. Fresh. 67% merlot, 27% cabernet franc, and 6% cabernet sauvignon. (2023)

Made by the team at Smith Haut Lafitte, the 2022 Château Beauregard is Merlot-dominated but includes 25% Cabernet Franc as well as a splash of Cabernet Sauvignon. This darker plum-hued effort offers lots of chocolaty darker fruits, some spice, chocolate, and graphite notes, medium to full body, and firmer, aggressive tannins. It's clearly outstanding, yet the tannins will need to be watched in this one. Tasted twice with consistent notes. (2023)

A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 Beauregard is deep garnet-purple in color. It features scents of baked black and red plums, boysenberry preserves, and crushed rocks with hints of underbrush and chargrill. The full-bodied palate is coated with ripe black fruits with a soft texture and just enough freshness, finishing earthy. (05/2023)
