"…tolle, klare, frische Frucht, feine spicy Noten, sehr schöne Struktur, blaubeerig, feine florale, frische Noten, Veilchen, feines Leder. Noch nie so gut!!!" (08/2024)
The name actually refers to an inscription placed on the chimney of the family home by Christian’s father that read “out with the water, in with the wine”. (Jean-Pierre Moueix was a wine merchant.) Out with the water or “otet de l’eau” phonetically sounds like Othello; it’s a play on words and an interesting example of Christian’s ingenuity.
