The 2021 Mondot comes from the newly purchased vineyards, not permitted to be absorbed into the Grand Vin until the next classification. It has a fragrant bouquet with red cherry, strawberry pastille and just a touch of iodine. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly chocolate-tinged entry, quite spicy and chalky toward the finish. Fine.

Medium to full-bodied, ample and velvety, it's seamless and suave, with succulent acids and a mouthwateringly saline finish. This is the last rendition of Mondot produced exclusively from Merlot growing on Saint-Émilion's limestone plateau.
