"The 2021 Rosenmuskateller Beerneauslese is a pale, amber-tinged red. This contains shriveled, dried berries without botrytis as well as botrytised fruit. Candied petals of Damask rose shimmer on the nose, trailing aromatic red fruit like rosehip and pomegranate. The palate is fully sweet and viscous, with a lovely web of tannins and a gorgeous tone of treacle that is brightened by that tart, red aromatic fruit and candied blood orange. The 2021 is layered, superbly aromatic, always with the haunting sensation of rose petals. This wine is alluring, beguiling, unusual and rare, with exquisite balance and superb freshness. (Luscious)" - By Anne Krebiehl MW on November 2023
James Suckling
"Stunning nose of dried papayas and candied pineapple with a slew of spicy nuances, but also black tea and candied lemon peel. Rich, concentrated and quite unctuous on the full-bodied palate. A big blast of candied citrus in the bold finish that’s beautifully balanced. Drink or hold." - Stuart Pigott (07/2024)
2021 Zwischen den Seen Welschriesling TBA Nummer 6: 96 Punkte
"Very complex nose of dried peaches, honeysuckle and lemon curd. Very concentrated and succulent yet cool, with a terrific citrusy freshness in the very long, beautifully balanced, silky finish. Needs some time to give its best, but already a beauty. Drink or hold." - Stuart Pigott (07/2024)
2021 Nouvelle Vague Rosenmuskateller TBA Nummer 4: 94 Punkte
"Dense strawberry fruit with a glaze of floral honey gives this very rich, rosé dessert wine plenty of appeal, and there’s a bright acidity that lifts this on the lush and full-bodied palate. Long, compact and crisp finish. Drink or hold." - Stuart Pigott (07/2024)
2021 Nouvelle Vague Grande Cuvée TBA Nummer 3: 95 Punkte
"Very complex nose of tropical fruit coulis, vanilla, candied ginger and toffee apples. Serious concentration and density, but also a vibrancy that wines of this category seldom have. You need some time to sink into the aromatic and textural complexity, but it’s more than worth the effort. Long, silky and elegant finish. Drink or hold." - Stuart Pigott (07/2024)
2021 Nouvelle Vague Zweigelt TBA Nummer 2: 93 Punkte
"Red TBA? Yes, it works, as this proves. Plenty of red currant jelly character, but this also has a quince jelly note and some baking spice nuances. Considerable richness on the full-bodied palate, but it’s not that sweet and the touch of tannins at the finish accentuates the wine’s drier side. Drink or hold." - Stuart Pigott (07/2024)
2021 Nouvelle Vague Traminer TBA Nummer 1: 94 Punkte
"Full of dried mangoes, floral honey and yellow rose character, this TBA is powerful and full-bodied but only moderately sweet. Long, structured finish that is surprisingly dry for this category. Drink or hold." - Stuart Pigott (07/2024)
Parker – Wine Advocate
"The 2021 Trockenbeerenauslese No 6 Welschriesling Zwischen den Seen is deep, very clear, precise and savory on the dense and complex nose that shows bergamot and lavender notes along with quince and lemon aromas. Rich and generous on the palate, this is a very sweet and oily yet also savory and finessed TBA that is a spectacularly generous, finely tannic and balanced Welschriesling that fermented slowly for 18 months to end up as one of Kracher's greatest TBAs. 5.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2024." - Stephan Reinhardt (07/2024)
2021 Zwischen den Seen Scheurebe TBA Nummer 5: 98 Punkte
"The golden-yellow 2021 Trockenbeerenauslese No 5 Scheurebe Zwischen den Seen offers notes of orange tea, ripe mango, pineapple, honey and candied Amalfi lemons. Rich and oily on the lush and elegant palate, this is a generous yet refined and stimulatingly saline TBA with pretty sweet but also aromatic and well-balanced fruit. 6.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2024." - Stephan Reinhardt (07/2024)
2021 Nouvelle Vague Grande Cuvée TBA Nummer 3: 97 Punkte
"Based on 65% Welschriesling and 35% Chardonnay, the golden-yellow 2021 Trockenbeerenauslese No 3 Grande Cuvée Nouvelle Vague opens with a concentrated and savory nose of candied pineapples and lemons along with notes of brown sugar and fine oak. Round and generous on the palate, this is a full-bodied, rich and refined, elegant and stimulating, saline and finely buoyant TBA with concentrated fruit, fine tannins and a long, caramelly and saline, tight and intense finish. 10% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2024. " - Stephan Reinhardt (07/2024)
2021 Nouvelle Vague Rosenmuskateller TBA Nummer 4: 96 Punkte
"Picked a couple of days earlier than the Red Roses BA, the 2021 Trockenbeerenauslese No 4 Rosenmuskateller Nouvelle Vague is deep, refined and spicy on the pure and elegant nose that reveals candied cherry, nougat, mocha and also floral aromas. Full-bodied, rich and elegant on the palate, this is a concentrated and savory, lemony and tight TBA with fine tannins, candied lemon and grapefruit notes on the finish. This is very young but promising. 9.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2024." - Stephan Reinhardt (07/2024)
2021 Nouvelle Vague Zweigelt TBA Nummer 2: 95 Punkte
"The 2021 Trockenbeerenauslese No 2 Zweigelt Nouvelle Vague reveals a bright cherry color and a clear and savory bouquet of kumquat, plums, candied cherries and salts. Elegant and round on the palate, this is a rich and concentrated, sweet yet fresh and lemony TBA with fine bitters and a tart, noble bitter and lemony finish. 9.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2024." - Stephan Reinhardt (07/2024)
2021 Nouvelle Vague Traminer TBA Nummer 1: 94 Punkte
"The 2021 Trockenbeerenauslese No 1 Traminer Nouvelle Vague opens with a deep, intense, fresh and savory bouquet with candied lemon and minty and herbal aromas. Full-bodied, rich and savory on the palate, this is a refined and elegant, lemon-fresh and bitter-finishing TBA with a tight and spicy structure and less juice than in more generous years. This 2021 TBA is more pithy and saline, even gastronomic, since it doesn't taste super sweet but spicy and savory. This is due to early botrytis in a very dry year and the harvest in early October. 10.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2024." - Stephan Reinhardt (07/2024)
