The 2021 Latour à Pomerol offers good up-front appeal. Sweet red cherry, kirsch, cinnamon, orange peel, new leather and cedar are front and center. The 2021 is an attractive Latour à Pomerol, even if it loses some persistence on the mid-palate and finish.

Plum stones, walnuts, orange rind and dried flowers on the nose. Some mocha and nutmeg. It’s medium- to full-bodied, polished and fragrant, with layers of spiced fruit framed by tight, very fine tannins. Long and evolving. Best from 2026. (07/2024)

All Merlot from an 8-hectare parcel in Pomerol, the 2021 Château Latour A Pomerol has a charming, upfront perfume of spice red and black fruits, leather, dried flowers, and spicy wood. This carries to a medium-bodied, round, mouth-filling 2021 that has velvety tannins, good overall balance, and outstanding length. It offers ample pleasure today yet will cruise in cold cellars over the coming 15 years or more. It's an outstanding Pomerol. (04/2024)

The 2021 Latour a Pomerol is 100% Merlot and has a medium to deep garnet-purple color. It jumps from the glass with ready-to-go notes of juicy blackberries, Morello cherries, and spice cake, followed by suggestions of Darjeeling tea and black olives. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly styled, with bags of freshness and soft, approachable tannins, finishing with a skip in its step. (04/2024)

A bit reserved in style, with black cherry and currant notes woven with earth and singed alder accents. Ends with a cool cast iron echo. Solid for the vintage. Drink now through 2031. 1,800 cases made, 320 cases imported.

The 2021 Latour à Pomerol delivers a strong showing in bottle, unwinding in the glass to reveal aromas of minty dark berries, licorice, violets and pencil shavings, followed by a medium-bodied, fleshy and suave palate with good depth at the core, lively acids and powdery tannins that have integrated well with élevage.
