The 2021 Chasse-Spleen is a soft, easygoing Moulis that will drink well on release. Plush, sensual and enveloping, the 2021 is all charm. Succulent red cherry, spice, tobacco, blood orange and leather fill out this layers. This plump, juicy 2021 is all pleasure.

Vibrant red plums, cassis, blueberries and wet stones with some roasted spices. Fruity and brambly on the fluid, medium-bodied palate imbued with juicy berries. Elegant, fresh and nuanced. Linear and lengthy, but quite soft-spoken. Needs time to talk to you. Best after 2025.

It is a tad subdued on the nose, offering broody notes of damp soil and bay leaves, before scents of redcurrant jelly and Morello cherry emerge. The medium-bodied palate has soft, well-managed tannins and plenty of freshness supporting the pure red berry fruit, finishing savory. (04/2024)
