The 2020 Sun & Earth is a co-ferment of Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache. A healthy amount of whole clusters (50%) lifts a core of red cherry and plum fruit. Crushed rose petal, mint, blood orange, cinnamon and incense perk up the red fruit.

The 2020 Sun & Earth checks in as field blend of 40% each of Mourvèdre and Syrah, with the final 20% Grenache. It's incredibly complex and has loads of red and black fruits as well as sandalwood, incense, and assorted meatiness, with lots of Mourvèdre-like character. Medium-bodied on the palate, with good purity and supple tannins, it's well worth seeking out and one heck of an impressive red blend from Ballard Canyon. (08/2022)

The 2020 Sun + Earth is a blend of co-fermented Mourvèdre (40%), Syrah (40%) and Grenache (20%). Medium ruby, has pretty red berry fruit on the nose with tones of burnt orange peel, black tea, autumn leaves and Angostura bitters. The medium-bodied palate offers generous layers of earth, tea and floral nuances. It has a frame of rounded acidity, powdery tannins and a very long, detailed finish. 290 cases were made.
