The 2020 Marjosse is a deep, flavorful wine. Black cherry, leather, spice, tobacco, leather and grilled herbs give this hearty Bordeaux a good deal of savory and earthy character to match its midweight personality.

Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Marjosse Rouge needs a little coaxing to reveal notes of cast-iron pan, crushed rocks, and dusty soil over a core of red plums, blackberry preserves, and mulberries, plus a hint of bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is tightly knit with fine-grained tannins and bold freshness supporting the nuanced black and red fruits, finishing long and minerally. (02/2023)

89 POINTS
In comparison with the 2018 and 2019, the 2020 Marjosse has a darker, more complex bouquet with aromas of dark wild berries, licorice, coniferous forest, lilac and cassis intertwined with green pepper and tobacco notes. Medium-bodied, balanced and fleshy, it’s juicy and refreshing despite its darker character on the finish.
