The 2019 Sun & Earth is silky, elegant and so polished. Sweet floral aromatics lead into red cherry/plum fruit, cedar, menthol, spice, sweet pipe tobacco and blood orange that start to come alive with a bit of aeration. The 2019 was bottled a month before this tasting. Not surprisingly, it is pretty reticent today.

A Southern Rhône-like blend of 42% Grenache, 42% Mourvèdre, and the rest Syrah, the 2019 Sun + Earth has sweet strawberry and blueberry fruit to go with beautiful peppery herbs, flowers, and spicy notes. This ripe, medium to full-bodied, round, and supple effort has tons of charm and a solid decade of prime drinking. (08/2022)

Pale ruby-purple, the 2019 Sun + Earth features bright red and black cherries with accents of black licorice, citrus, flowers and earth. Medium-bodied and elegantly styled, it has a gentle chalkiness, integrated freshness and a long finish with spicy layers.
