Greetings from Oakville. At the estate, we recently bottled our 2020 vintage. It is a wine from a year that has been a true test for our team with all the challenges it presented, but we are thrilled with the results and quality it was produced. We are really looking forward to sharing these wines next year upon release. Fast forward to 2022, we have experienced a mild version of a roller coaster, with a cooler and prolong spring followed by a warmer than average June but a classic Napa summer in July and August. We are now working through a heatwave this week pushing the fruit to perfect maturity. An early harvest but with great potential, we are seeing incredible vibrant color and flavors in the grapes and are eager to see what the future unfolds.
On October 1, 2022, we are releasing the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon and we are happy to offer you an allocation. While the 2018 vintage may have been a tough act to follow, the 2019s standout as another classic, idyllic Napa Valley vintage to remember. A milestone into our history at Dalla Valle was made in 2019 as we dove into the world of Biodynamic farming. Our deep love and connection to this land inspired us to begin this journey, and we have not looked back since. The elements of energy and vibrancy show in the 2019 vintage. A cool winter and mild rainy spring replenished our vines and provided them with the energy to sustain the heat of summer and perfectly ripen in the fall.
To secure your allocation, we kindly ask that you send over your placement proposal before submitting a purchase order. The wines will be available to ship after October 1st. Once we receive your PO we will email your confirmation with order number and pick up instructions. If you wish to take your allocation in installments, please let us know by October 15th.
