The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III is a terrific wine from this Rutherford property. Inky red/purplish, lavender, rose petal, spice, mint and coffee build over time. Ripeness is a bit pushed here, but all the elements are very nicely balanced just the same.

Aromas of oolong, leafy herbs, black licorice and blackcurrants. Full-bodied with silky, smooth tannins. Lovely mineral notes add complexity and depth to the black fruit and ground spice. Very nice length. Best after 2024. (09/2022)

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard comes from five different blocks in this larger vineyard. It's an incredible, classic 2019 offering savory, herbal dark fruits, tobacco, and spice notes as well as full-bodied richness and depth on the palate. I love its freshness, and it has ultra-fine tannins, no hard edges, and a great finish. It's going to shine for 20-25 years if properly stored. (12/2021)

An open-knit, expressive Cabernet, showing a core of açaí, plum and boysenberry, while sweet red licorice, toast and fruitcake fill in through the finish. Drink now through 2032. 300 cases made.

Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard has a deep garnet-purple color. Vibrant notes of kirsch, Black Forest cake and warm cassis leap from the glass, followed by nuances of lavender, wild thyme and fertile loam. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has firm, grainy tannins and bags of freshness to support the rich, black fruits, accented by beautiful savory sparks, finishing long and mineral tinged.
