Some darker, meaty notes, plums, blueberries, crushed violets, and background meatiness are revealed in the 2018 Great Places Ruben Solorzano, with more spice and floral notes emerging with time in the glass. Better on the palate, the wine is rounded, medium to full-bodied, seamless, and pure. The tannins are better managed here, and it has good freshness as well as some creamy oak. A ripe sexy, beautiful wine, it’s already delicious yet should evolve well. (08/2021)
