The 2018 Spätburgunder Heimersheimer Landskrone GG displays a purple-red color and a bouquet of deep and concentrated dark and red cherry aromas as well as toasty and spicy notes. Fresh and vital on the palate, this is a firm and crystalline, tart and fruity Pinot Noir with grip and good freshness on the finish. Remarkably vital yet also somewhat greenish in its phenols. It needs lots of air. Tasted in Wiesbaden in August 2020.
