The 2018 Domaine de L'Aurage shows all of the radiance of the year in this super-ripe red cherry, kirsch, blood orange, mint and floral notes. L'Aurage is an attractive wine, but I feel the ripeness is a bit pushed for my taste.

Lots of redcurrants, cassis, dried flowers, and graphite notes emerge from the 2018 Domaine De L'Aurage. It's a medium to full-bodied, impressively endowed Castillon offering ripe yet present tannins, a good spine of acidity, and outstanding length. I'd be happy to drink a bottle today, but it's going to be even better in 2-4 years and keep for a decade. (03/2021)
