2018 Château La Sergue | IMP

The 2018 La Sergue offers blackberry, mint and iodine scents on what feels like a rather simple nose, yet there is sufficient freshness. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly raw tannins on the entry, and the finish feels a little bitter and attenuated.

Fruity nose of fresh blueberry and blackcurrant. Some bark, too. It’s full-bodied with firm, well integrated tannins. Juicy on the palate with pleasant acidity and a clean, medium finish. Nicely done for the appellation. Try from 2022. (03/2021)

The dark cherry and plum fruit is pure and refined, while the structure is very silky and graceful. Late black tea and mineral accents add range on the finish. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Drink now through 2025. 1,244 cases made.
