The 2018 La Fleur Peyrabon is more refined on the nose compared to its showing from barrel, retaining graphite notes with freshly rolled tobacco and tightly wound black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a chewy opening. Maybe a little coarse compared to its peers. A tough Pauillac that will benefit from 2–3 years in bottle, although there is already satisfying harmony on the grainy finish. Fine.
