2015 Château Carignan "Prima" | DMG

The 2015 Carignan Prima is a soft, supple wine with good overall depth. Dark cherry, plum, mint, spice and licorice all flesh out in the glass. The distinctly ripe, oaky style shows noticeable sweetness that is a bit distracting.

Blackcurrants, chocolate and violets follow through to a full body, round and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. Beautiful merlot from old vines. Needs two or three years to soften. Drink in 2020. (02/2018)
