The 2014 Clos du Jaugueyron from the Margaux appellation has a lovely pure blackberry, crushed strawberry, rose petal and violet bouquet that bursts from the glass; the oak is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, and quite Pauillac-like in style thanks to the graphite element. There is good tension here. Slightly lean toward the finish, but demonstrates fine length. Give this another year in bottle. Tasted at the Vine Trail portfolio tasting in London.
