Aromas of chocolate, tar and blackberries follow through to a full body, ripe fruit and spicy character. Rich and chewy. Some charcoal and tar undertones. Better in 2018. (12/2016)

Undeniably sturdy, austere and tannic, and as such, a red that requires patience and faith. The core currant, anise, loamy earth and cedary oak notes are unforgiving at this early age. Best from 2020 through 2032. 4,500 cases made.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and the rest Malbec and Cabernet Franc, aged in 80% new French oak. Floral notes intermixed with blueberry and black raspberry fruit as well as blackcurrants jump from the glass of this wine, which has full body and terrific texture, purity and length. Drink it over the next 15-20 years.
