Dark ruby-red. Cassis and violets are complicated by sweet aromatic spices on the sexy nose. Then suave and relatively dense on the palate, with red and black fruit flavors showing sneaky concentration. Finishes with a minty floral edge and rising tannins that avoid dryness. Even though this is lighter than usual, the estate's signature exotic nose is noticeable even in a weak year like 2013.
