2006 Trockenbeerenauslese Welschriesling No. 9 | 0,375l

Medium golden-yellow color. Ripe aromas and flavors of juicy peach, apricot jam, hazelnut and marshmallow are perfectly true to the variety. A honeyed quality in the mouth contributes to this very sweet wine's (290 g/l r.s.) satiny, creamy texture, with vibrant, finely chiseled acidity giving it uncanny agility for its extravagant richness. This utterly delicious wine finishes with outstanding persistence and should offer well over two decades of aging potential.

A fruit-forward and creamy style, offering concentrated peach and piecrust flavors, with apricot and pear. The rich finish is luxuriant and smooth. Drink now through 2016.

The golden-amber colored 2006 Welschriesling Trockenbeerenauslese No 9 Zwischen den Seen offers a very clear and precise, deep, smoky and spicy bouquet of ripe and concentrated apricots, green figs and candied orange peels intermingled with white ethereal flavors, pepper, vanilla bean, malt, tulipwood and malaga raisin. This wine is dense, sweet and highly concentrated, as well as elegant, with a firm and mineral acidity; it also has structure and dark caramel flavors on the palate. This is a very persistent and salty TBA with grip, freshness and a lovely, matured apricot fruit. Very stimulating.
