A very charming, supple wine that is a delight to drink now, the 1978 Haut-Batailley is a straightforward, effusively fruity wine, with a nice touch of spicy oak, light tannins, and a warm, round finish. Ready now. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 4/84.
